Don't let the title fool you. While this set has everything to model a police station, with very little conversion, you can make nearly any kind of office, and combining with mayhem armoury, any home at all!

Build wise, this set is full of coll props that give it the edge. However, it's more complex and more time intensive then other sets I own. This is no entry level product! (even though the instructions are very detailed and helpful)

In summary, this set is at the same time detailed, thematic and versatile. This is a must buy for every serious modern gaming table.

The Mayhem Police Department is a beautifully detailed, comprehensive set for your Urban Mayhem table. It can be used to make anything from a small precinct house to a full blown jail. The detailed interior gives you an excellent setting for those jail-break scenarios, full of excellent, useful props like desks, chairs, cabinets, computers, wall charts and even a water cooler and Coffee machine. Those can not only be used to flesh out your station house, you can use them to furnish any other businesses you build, as well. Specialized interior props include a high tech weapons case and a cabinet full of body armor for your lucky survivors to find. There is even a classic 2-way mirror for your interrogation room. Of course no jail is complete without cells, so MPD has concrete cell block walls, some with graffiti, and detailed cell doors, either for printing as transparencies or on cardstock. There are toilets, beds and sinks for the cells, also. Other transparencies available include large barred windows, smaller barred windows; cell bar windows, and of course, the 2 way mirror for the interrogation room. There are many other interior props I didn’t mention, from white boards, podiums, and couches to humorous, mock “inspirational” posters. These are also great for the interiors of other buildings you construct. Besides the interior props the interior walls come in two color schemes, red or blue, with windows, doors or plain walls. The walls are beautifully textured to represent a beat-up look with cracks in the paint job, cones of light and shadow to represent lighting from the ceiling, power outlets, and even fire alarm boxes. And, like the props, you can use these nicely detailed interior walls for interiors of other builds. A seedy Detective Office, or run-down office building, whatever you want. And that’s just the interior; the exterior is just as detailed with an optional roof top helo landing pad, radio tower and searchlights. Exterior brick walls, with and without graffiti, complete with weathering, dirt, and damaged brick. Besides the props there are ground tiles, including gridded and non-gridded grass and a 1 inch and 1.5 inch gridded concrete exterior ground tile. These can be used for other builds as well, with interior floors in blue or green carpet, stained concrete, or stone floor. Then when you think they’ve covered everything you need, there’s a folder called “Vehicles”. Police motorcycles, police cars (including a burning one), SWAT van, unmarked car, Helicopter, and an armored car-like Police wagon (which with a little kitbashing can easily be an armored car).
Construction: As far as ease of construction, MPD was my first WorldWorks Games set, and I have built it twice now. Once as a foamcore build, and once again lately in 15mm scale with cardstock. The building is easy. Props are generally easy with many flat-folds or simple box-folds. I had the most difficulty with the radio tower and the vehicles.
Usefulness: Great utility here and components from the set can be used almost all through your Mayhem city. I would have bought this set for the interior props alone. Add this set to “Streets of Mayhem” and “Mayhem Downtown” and you’ll have a huge chunk of your city.
