I had a problem with the game locking up every fifteen minutes or so. Very annoying.

I made the mistake of fixing the problem (getting a new audio codec).

You know, for a game that is absolutely nothing like Fallout 1 and 2 it is remarkably similar to Fallout 1 and 2....

Isn't it the strangest feeling, Grump? It really plays nothing like them...but it FEELS like them somehow. Really is quite a feat.

I found myself whistling one of the songs from Fallout 3 today. It would be understandable if it were say, Butcher Pete (Part 1 ), or I don't Want to Set the World on Fire (permanently established with footage of atomic bombs falling, thanks to films I saw in the 1960s), or even Civilization (Bongo, Bongo, Bongo), but Let's Go Sunning?!!!

Isn't it We'll Meet Again?

I recall a movie with that same name from 1939 from my first film class back in college. I took a four class course over a period of two years, and I do believe that Vera Lynn and her three movies were part of the first class in the 1920-1949 era of film-making.

Anyway, there's a second location with alien blaster ammo just south of the dairy by the Nuka-Cola truck wreck. I walked through there twice and didn't notice, until the third time it was nightfall and the blaster cells glow slightly.

I think one of my favorite moments - although it was fairly short and in a rather boring vault - was the Garys. "Garrry ... oh, hello Gary!" *hits me with a lead pipe*

The song definately featured in that movie... but no lollipop...
The movie that I had in mind had the song playing as mushroom clouds spread across the globe... Music to nuke the world by...

Also interesting is a basement for your Megaton house.

No pack animals yet though - that is something that I have had desperate need of on occasion. (Suits of poer armor are heavy, and being overloaded slows you to a crawl when trying to get to a trader.

Well I got Fallout 3 for Christmas and I am really addicted! But like any Bethesda game it crashes a lot. I just can not understand why they can't make a game that does not crash all of the time. I own Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, and now Fallout 3 and they all just crash for no reason at all.

I still play Morrowind from time to time and it still crashes on the same system that plays Fallout 3. I'll never understand it.

The game play is nice and the VAT combat is pretty cool. To bad I have to wait until the kids go to bed to play it

For me the crashes were caused by the streaming audio codec - I swapped over to and the problem went away. A lot of people have problems with the Morgan streaming audio codec that is included by Bethesda.
