Apes?

Is the background put together enough to make Apes that have technology fit in?

Sorry for the questions but I am totally clueless on AT43.

The backstory is pretty cool (in the most ubergeek sense of it)

The Theirans have figured out immortality except that the universe will eventually implode (ie shrink into the next big bang). So they have set out to built Dysons' Sphere's around all the stars in the universe so they can't implode. Well that usually means killing everything in the solar system and most sentient races don't wanna be killed so the Therians can live forever.

The Therians seed planets with what will eventually be sentiant creatures that will strip mine the planet and make it easier to break up for the Dysons' Sphere.

They created the Karman. But the Karman did the opposite. So the Therians instead use them as mercenaries since the Therians seem to get their asses kicked alot. Then the majority of Karmans said "F-U" to the Therians and now fight against them or with them depending on the circumstances.

Amazing that a race that has freakin' hyper technology gets their arses handed to them a lot

The Therians are trying to keep the universe from imploding by building cosmic engines from whole solar systems... they seed life so that it will one day become sentient, and when that life starts stripping all of the useful resources from the inside of the planet and scattering it across the surface, or even better, putting it in orbit, the Therians come along and steal everything by waging a limited war against the natives.

***AT-43 SPOILER ALERT***

The Therians tend to seed Earth life on the planets they work on because they are in fact from Earth... AT-43 tales place in some FAR future where humans have become digital intelligences. While they have the knowledge to stop the universe from imploding, they do not necessarily have the resources. Phenomenal Cosmic Intelligence And Knowledge does not necessarily translate into ability, and the Therians are spread pretty thin across the universe trying to put their cosmically long plans into effect. So in the AT-43 setting, their is one factory planet engaging the local area of space that the game takes place in, and they are a long way away from ther rest of their people and support.
