Interesting...I think the rules are great.

If another gaming system works for Mordheim then great.

on the other hand is one that I have known about for a long while - folks who used to get The Town Crier may recognize some of these articles, they were on Pestilens first.

If you play Mordheim, and have Gothic Realms (with the additions from Missing Persons, especially) then you will want to take a look at the rules.

Mordheimer, did an excellent job on collecting a lot of data and putting in a good format. The site was down for about a year and just recently, 2 or three months came back up again.

The SG site was quite a few PDFs also that give you the rules and tons of articles.

Incidentally, two of the optional rules that I use from Clan Pestilens can really change a game -

Encampments, which give the warbands places to raid, and to defend from raids also adds some cool stuff to support warbands as well as giving a target.

Winter Rules, deep snow and slippery streets.... Initiative becomes important, but - dwarfs get free hobnail boots!

I have also used the Fire rules (Pestilens) and the Sawbones (Mordheimer) rules to good effect.

I have not used the Night Fighting rules, since the city is supposed to be dark at all hours, lit only by fires still burning in the ruined buildings. (I blame the incredibly short ranges in the game on this detail... just to salve my pedantic soul.)

I have never tried any of those optional rules though we are thinking about using encampments.

I have wanted to give Denny an idea what my mordheim games look like and what I hope himmenevil will look like

The pictures are cool..and the Hell´s Works ground tiles looks very nice with that ruins.

I just got back from lunch, after stopping at Hobby Town USA... I found a pack of dwarf treasure hunters on the shelf, behind some other games. I asked for a price check and the guy behind the counter said "those have been there forever; ten bucks"

Good God! I never find those deals. I am happy for you though.

For those folks with Possessed warbands - Reaper has something in the works that looks right down your dark, slime covered, and hideously mutated alley.

There is a new, non official, Mordheim supplement coming out - . Battles take place at the edge of the Chaos Wastes and Cathay.

Looks interesting, to say the least. Seems like folks are unwilling to let Mordheim wither away on the vine.
