Dragon Avenue was hosting a contest for writing a 4th edition encounter, sans stats, and the votes have all come in.

I took first place in their contest!

I have written for:

Patron saint of papercut martyrs.

That was a very nice encounter... sort of combines the old "casual encounter" setup from the Journal Of The Travellers Aid Society (although not in as much detail) and the "Hook, Line, And Sinker" from Shadis Magazine. Did I just admit how old I am?

I'm glad you guys liked it. Truth be told, I actually made several entries into the contest. If anyone's curious, you'll find (in the forums on that board) the 4th edition contest forum...which has all five of my contest entries:
