after signing with a realtor to have the FOR SALE sign and a bunch of orange flag markers dropped at the property with instructions to me to put all in place! I thought the grunt work was part of the fee I'm paying. Cripes. like I could even pull on the boots that are necessary to be walking through that field this time of year. I had to get my brother-in-law to do it.

I don't think I can get out of the contract. Thank goodness I insisted it be for only three months. I guess I had better spend the time finding out what all is involved if I have to sell it on my own later. There is only the one realty company around here.

Its just land that I am selling for now. I decided to leave the two properties with houses off the market. Its the houses she really wants to sell. But I think I'd be an idiot to sell them in this market. The land, on the other hand, holds its value in this economic mess. She might be miffed about not getting them to handle. But that doesn't excuse her from doing her job.

There are a couple agents about 50 miles away. I'll try them if the land doesn't sell in 3 months. I just can't do the leg work on it, and was shocked tp be told to set the sign and markers. I guess I'm an idiot anyway to have contracted with her to sell anything.

I'll push her along ... its occured to me that I better check on where she is listing it ... just to be sure she has gotten that far yet.
