PDFs do have a place, and I always prefer my terrain as a PDF, so to an extent I can understand your point...

From what I was gleaning on the BF:Evo boards, its a slightly more in depth version of the GOMC1 rules, actually. I'll have to give them a read...if I can find a copy. No one around here (that I'm aware of) carries the game.

Hmm, that's a very odd law. I understand the whole monopoly thing, but a company should be able to do it's own distribution if it is able. Remember the classic Michael J. Fox film, The Secret of My Success? He would have been arrested for more than just the obvious if his distribution project went through.

Wait...theirs a law keeping distributors in business? WHAT IDIOT THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA?! That makes NO SENSE.

Obviously one, or some, extremely influential people have their hands in the distribution channels... otherwise I really can't imagine how it got like it is. If the main channels did a great job, it wouldn't be so bad, but every store complains about how long things take or how irregular the information comes through, etc. Since there is noone to challenge them, and you have no option but to use them, they seem to do whatever they feel like.

I agree with Denny, the system needs to change... but do you go about changing something like that?
