I saw Derek Steel laying in the street, but his limbs were too entangled with the other bodies... he'll have to stand up before I can stab his with a syringe.

I'm working with vapours in terms of APs right now... trying to get to a safe spot to log, but right now I'm blind (zero APs) so I don't know if I'm in a good place or not... lol. Last move I did about 10 minutes before moved my into an open building with 4 zombies having a picnic... so I moved again... and have no idea what I see. Hopefully in about 25 more minutes I'll refresh and still be alive.

EDIT: Refreshed and found I'm in an okay spot... no zombies, no survivors, and some fairly good barricades around me.

I got stuck by someone else earlier and just needed time to play the game. I finally got that chance and have moved to Pyne Crescent School, Wray Heights (61, 77), with Silverback.

I also took a few moments to barricade St. Wolfgangs so hopefully we'll be able to look for FAKs in peace.

Chriton, welcome to the game. A couple of things to do to save you looking through all these posts:
- Please add "Cult of WWG" without the quotes, to your character profile page in the field Groups.
- Please link to your profile page so we can all add you to our friends list, and set your name to blue.

Slymoon, I'm not sure why the number of members would have gone down but perhaps it takes in to consideration those that are active and inactive. As for ranking... that is probably affected by deaths and kills... and I know we've died a lot recently. According the to page, we currently have:

Known Members - 14
Average Level - 11
Rating - 160

And there are 9 groups below us on the list. The two best ways we can improve on the rankings is to level up, and to recruit new members.

Ive been hearing alot of rumor in Stickling mall that we are next on s hit list. 300-400 strong zombie raiding party. They are the ones that wiped out Wray Height and Kempsterbank a last week.

They reportedly have also been taking down the malls in a matter of a day or even hours.

So first sign of anything like that coming and we need to head out fast. Get your APs ready :wink:

It's that game too much time consuming ? - I belive to read at the begining that you can do only a few movements day or period... but you that are playing if you are two days without conection what happens ? and how much time do you use when connect ? - I don't need another thing to spend my time...but you know zombies !!!

We have a problem (65-85) barricades down, doors open and 3 zombies inside. I'm low on Aps, but I'll see what I can help with

I killed one Zombie for you, dumped the body, closed the door and got you up to quite strongly barricaded. I popped next door and fell asleep.

(to help confusion, Capt DaBank is near an alt of mine. Sgt DaBank is near Noomyls ;-)

takes a few minutes a day only to play. it takes Action Points (APs) to do anything. You can have a maximum of 50 APs at a time, and they regenerate 1 per 30 minutes. So it takes 25 hours of real time to get full.
If you dont play for a few days, no worries, you regen to 50 APs and hang out. Unless your place gets attacked you may log in to find yourself a zombie. :wink:

Adding to what Slymoon said, if you don't log in for 5 days, your account goes inactive. What that means is you get plucked out of the world in whatever state you were in at the time (zombie, living, etc.) and noone sees you or can interact with you. However, at any time, you can log back in and your character will be reactivated, reappearing in the world.

The best part that death is just a part of life in this game

Is there any way to tell who needs to be healed if you don't have the special ability that shows a character's hp next to their name? I tried attacking a zombie for some xp, but by chance to hit is abysmal. It would take me roughly 200 pistol shots to kill a zombie at the rate I was going. Looking on the wiki, about the only thing I saw that was a good option for xp for me was healing other players.

Chriton, unfortunately not. It's quite hard to get going in this game as initially it's really hard to earn xp. Try picking up a melee weapon and whacking zombies. You will still miss a lot, but you won't use up ammo. A Fire Axe (Fire Station) or a Cricket Bat (sporting goods store in a mall) is a good option.

Other ways to earn XP:
- Reviving. This requires certain skills and necrotech syringes.
- Healing. I haven't tried, but you might be able to earn xp for using a first aid kit even if you don't actually heal someone. Try it if you have a spare one, and spare APs.
- Grafitti. Hard to find a spray can, harder still to find a location that'll give you xp. I think monuments do.
- Destroying Barricades. Not something you want to do if there are zombies around, and will probably get you attacked by players. You would be better off attacking zombies.

Sorry that's not much help.

Well, I have a spray can, but the wiki indicated that you had to have the "Tagging" ability to get XP from using it. When my AP recharge I'll make a run for a fire station to look for an axe. I tried the police station that is 3E 1N of my current location, but the building is damaged and occupied by zombies. In fact, most of the buildings between here and there had a zombie or two.

However, spray cans only give xp if you have the 'Tagging' skill. and even then its 1-2xp per time. not very good return.

Healing an injured person gives 5 xp. Even if you just heal 1 pnt. You dont get xp for uninjured heals, and you dont get xp for healing yourself. (no required skills, just have to find the kits and find people to heal. (you can heal zombies too, but dont let anyone see you.)

DNA scanner will get you 4 xp per unscanned zombie: however you need to be a nectrotech employee to use it. (ie: 100 xp)

knife has the best base % chance to hit, but only does 2 damage. maybe a good thing to look for. Else firestation for a fireaxe is the way to go.

Shotgun, dont waste the shells until you get a decent skill.

Ive now started a cop,fireman and scientist.
Fireman and scientist are by far easier to start than a cop. but after a few 100 xp, it starts leveling out.

Also keep in mind: you can stay in one palce and search forever. You always have a chance of finding stuff, it never runs out. So if you ahve a horribly unlucky run for finding a fireaxe, jsut stay there and keep trying.

Also to note: I believe a running generator increases your search chances slightly.

Sorry about the tagging... it's been a while since I started and I forgot it needed the skill to get xp. Most things provide low xp unfortunately, but if you actually kill a zombie, you get a nice little bonus, depending on the zombie's level.

I only know the game better from playing, and I haven't studied thing... just trial and error. You guys seem to be finding out lots of details I never looked for

There are 4 zombies in Pyne Crest School with Savasku and Derek Steel. I healed you each with a med kit, but I would recommend getting out of there. The hospital NE still has good barricades. As soon as my AP regenerate some I'll come back and heal Savasku some more (he is pretty bad off).

Since I couldn't get supplies in Wray Heights, I moved south to what I hope is a safer are, while I restock. There are a couple of zombies floating around, but no large horde that I can see.

Capt DaBank and LT Sacretis are both zombies in Wray heights. :shock:

SGT DaBank also became a zombie due to people overbarricading and could not get into a safe spot before he ran out of APs :oops:
