Just to add more noise to the discussion before I pop off to bed; for really bad SF TV, try Space Precinct. Just released on DVD, I believe. I don't think it gets any worse than that; they don't get a single thing right. Not the casting, production design, scripts, stories, direction, aliens, robots, special effects...nothing.

I liked Farscape for the main reason that it was the OPPOSITE of most sci-fi shows in that the human was the minority on the ship (everyone else was an alien).

I also found Firefly horribly boring as a series. I can't stand it when they do bogus western accents and incorrectly use Chinese slang. The movie was decent - that I liked, because it had more action than half the series did.

I only watch Andromeda late at night when nothing else is on TV. It is the equivelent (to me) of watching something like Buck Rogers on TVLand. LOL

LOL whenever I here "Buck Rogers", I think of "Cartman in the 25th Century" with the music and all.

Buck Rogers is a classic. Hard to watch these days, but I still try on occassion.

Matt, thanks for bring up First Wave. I quite enjoyed that one for a while... but did they properly end it, or just cancel it? I watched a lot of episodes but I don't recall any kinds of conclusion.

To bring it back a bit full circle, did anyone else enjoy the Starship Troopers CGI cartoon, Roughnecks?
It was a bit more true to the book, it did have the Skinnies, although being that it was kiddie friendly the body count was a bit lower than I would have liked.
I must concur with whoever pointed it out, I can no longer watch Buck Rodgers without thinking of Cartman battling talking Otters.
As for obscure Sci-Fi flicks that I enjoy for no other reason than a love of all things nerdy;

Space Fugitive (An old Japanese Sci-Fi show they watched on MST3K, which was wonderful)

The MST3K version of Outland is pure genius!

I loved The Black Hole as a kid. Doesn't hold up as well now, but its decent nonetheless; for Disney anyway.

I actually liked Earth 2 until it turned into a wreck of insane plots.
