Well, following the great Fiasco II disaster of 2006, the city fathers decided it was time to rebuild Mayhem City from the ground up.


The beginning....




















Some kitbashing has gone on, as you can see. The garage next to the grey 3-storey building is a photoshop job on the same building, and the posters and signs are all photoshopped in.

All the buildings (bar the gas station) are reinforced with lolly ice/popsicle sticks (including the roofs). The brown-brick WWG building should be able to take the weight of a warjack or a Heresy Minis Netherlord (as it was intended to).

The ground sections have been made into 3x3 tiles. This should make them less prone to moving during play.

Sorry for the blurriness of the photos. More, better shots will be forthcoming soon. the board is to be ready for Hammerhead in Newark (near Nottingham) on the 11th February. It will be double this size. I have three sections near done, but I've had to emergency order more UHU office pens.

3x3 you say? Dang would save a ton on printing and allow you to mass a good sized city area on a normal table.

What scale minis is that, 12mm?
(I cant imagine printing half sized props/ vehicles)

Nice build so far! Like the Photoshoping of the signs, that looks good also!

Wow! That's just... just amazing! So detailed! I honestly can't tell that it's cardstock. Well done on a great build! I'm planning on running a campaign based on the Sliders television program, so I think I'll be busting out the modern sets soon.

Are all those posters and signs on your models in the sets? I especially love the zombie ones!

looking great already, not sure Andy would be pleased to see Heresy all done in like that, but the posters and signs are a real nice personal touch.

Well, I've hit a choke point. The foamboard sheets I thought were 22" across were in fact only 20.5". Therefore not big enough for the next tiles.

Luckily though, my local store got the foamboard sheets I ordered in today, so I can re-start tomorrow


Still waiting on the glue... I paid for 2 day delivery (ordered on Saturday) too

I used google, like you mentioned above, and I found some pictures that will make some great signs for a future mayhem city.

Since these pics were taken the warehouse has been completed (pics later ). I've also printed the rail car I plan to use, but I'm not sure if I've got any transparencies left

If there are, that should be finished tonight (There are benefits to being off work ill with the flu )

Also, as a comment regarding foamcore. You can always use smaller pieces for the bases for the buildings instead of full 7"x7" pieces. I did this to save material. With my buildings I used a couple of 7"x3.5" offcuts for the bases, and saved the larger pieces for the roadtiles.

Very nice build with some excellent customs in there. I do like the concrete garage. Also, an interesting looking warehouse too... can't wait to see more pics of that.

Like it - especially the idea of cutting down some of the office buildings to 2 stories for variety.

Any one able to do interiors for the office blocks?

Very nice. I'm sure parts of it were fiddely, but everyone will be in awe when you get to show it off... and those that get to play on it will no doubt brag about it to their friends.
