I agree with Steve's points over the naming. Because the developers, and us regular consumers of all things Modern and Mayhemy, it is easy to see how it all fits together, but it isn't so easy when you try to explain to someone new (). For example, with Mayhem Rail, I hadn't actually given it much thought because the title made sense to me, but since the brand is Urban Mayhem, and the city is Mayhem, it really should have been UM: Mayhem Rail. Mayhem Downtown is really UM: BOM II.

Meh, I'm glad I'm not the one making the decisions on the naming really, but you guys could really do with picking one brand for the product line, and sticking with that... perhaps even renaming the older sets to match.

I'm glad to hear than the PC line will be sticking to it's guns though. I can't imagine what will be in this expansion set... because red sector makes me think of one of two things:
1) Red light district - This would be very strange with the industrial setting, but the style could work as a blade runner adult area. Might not be a kid friendly release, but it'd be cool.
2) The Reds - Brings to mind the old Soviet Union, which also seems very odd with the setting, but could work I guess. In WW2 games towns can be converted to look German with all the flags and symbols, but that doesn't seem to fit with the Platform Command line.

I'm sure it will be nothing to do with my ideas above, so I'll just have to wait a couple of months for previews

PCOM would be my abbreviation of Platform Command, since that's the brand name (like Urban Mayhem was supposed to be for the urban terrain sets).

Operation Nightwatch was the product name, not the brand name. If you go with PCON then it's no longer an abbreviation but an acronym, with the letters P.C.O.N. actually standing for something.

I'm assuming you are not working on Platform Command: Operation Nightwatch, Red Sector, so PCON Red Sector is incorrect. But if you are working on Platform Command: Red Sector then PCOM Red Sector works.

But as the author of the work, you can certainly call it whatever you like PCRS as an acronym is accurate, but it doesn't flow off the tongue as easily as PCOM Red. Plus, my impulse to pronounce PCRS results in my saying Peckers. Not one of those words that really adds up to "WOW!"

High Altitude Weapons Kit = HAWK. Now THERE'S an Acronym. Or how about Super Tech Integrated Nightfighting Gear = STING. Those are the types of acronyms that really hit home. But Peckers? Hmmmm ....

However, I shall henceforth refer to this upcoming work of splendor by whatever title you prefer, and I shall kneecap those who disrespect you. How's that?

Now, now Pelthar. All this talk is exciting, but the WIP meter has this at 15% so it's in the initial stages of initial steps of vague discussions. We don't hound poor Matt for piccys until it hits 80% minimum.

Then the sticks get sharpened and the poking starts. We then get pitchforks and torches ready for the 90% progress level. At that point, the Worldworks Games Fanbase Union will step in, and according to union rules, you will receive your call to action.

Luckily, Matt always provides piccys before we hit that critical junction

This reminds me of the acronym used byt he US Navy at the start of the second world war for the western fleet.

Navy Commander in Chief, United States, which became CinCUS, which was pronounced Sink-Us. The first admiral to hold that position after the war started changed the acronym because he felt that "Sink Us" wasn't the right message to send to ANYONE - especially during wartime
