More unique. Could be considered an early Urban Mayhem scenario, heh.

Low budget, gritty filming style. Written and directed by Walter Hill (who later went on to pen and direct 48 hours and Streets of Fire among many others). It's actually slated to be remade with Tony Scott directing this time around.

The plot is that there are tens of thousands of gang members out there, and a very loose coalition exists. Every now and then a "big" meeting is held, and a well liked/feared guy has something he wants to say. Nobody is supposed to bring weapons. A truce is in effect. Anyone breaking the truce dies.

One small, insignificant little gang called The Warriors" comes from way outta town to the meet. While there, a rival gang shoots and kills the head honcho, and it looks like The Warriors did it.

So they have to run, and evade, and try to get back to their home turf, while all these other gangs are chasing them to kill them for breaking the truce. It's open season on The Warriors.

Stars a very young James Remar and David Patrick Kelly (only two names I recognize). I found it quite entertaining. Felt "real" when I first saw it (back when gritty filming styles were unheard of). Satisfying to watch, with a good ending.

David Patrick Kelly has a line that he keeps repeating over and over (he's got a screw loose - he's the leader of the gang that really killed Mr Big). That line has stuck in my head ever since. Watch the movie and you will know which line I'm talking about.

I also have it on good authority that the Warriors video game is quite entertaining. Haven't sampled it myself yet...

Hey Scott can we get a range of homeless standees to take up seats and versions that lay under the seats? It would give it a more realistic feel.

I have started collecting images to prettize the carriages, they are going to look so sweet and sexy as they pull into the station. (The city authories mightn't think so... )

So are the doors & things in this set more scaled to 28-50mm figures rather than the huge Clix figures?

It's gonna be a pain in the ass to resize otherwise...

Since the rest of Mayhem is 1", I doubt the subway would be any different.

One question, though, who uses 50mm figures? That scale would be enormous, even compared to Clix.

Noticed it's jumped a long way up the WIP meter. Looking forward to this one (what am I saying, I look forward to every WWG set)
