Awesome, Master Poe!

As an experienced builder, how would you rate the complexity?

Very nice build Poe! I really like the comparison shot with the lead minis. I think he holds up rather well. I built three of them in the course of development and I can tell you it gets easier with each build. I can't wait until someone fills a room with these guys

Another thing to try is Replace Color, and increase the Fizziness. This way the horns and teeth dont change color.

Well you can just give me a wish list on the dragon kit-bashes that everyone needs/ or wants, and I'll get crack'n on it. Also if there are any kit-bashes that anyone would like to see just post it or drop me a pm and I'll gladly let you know if it would be possible.

Ah, Gimp also has a bunch of colormap manipulation tools under Filters -> Colors -> Map. Including a Colormap Rotation etc.

Also, new tail types (too many spikes for my taste) and new head types (D&D dragons all have different styles of horns etc).

Only problem is... one of these days (well, months more likely) I'm gonna want to try pasting those textures over a rounder torso, and then we'd have a whole build-you-own dragon in kitbash!


I think this would make for a great set for you guys to put out, BTW! Give us a couple different retexturings/colors of the same dragon (I'm looking forward to the draclich... with a skull head, ribcage torso, and tattered wings), plus some body parts to trade out (a smaller head and neck, some 3D legs (Yamaha has some simple 3D legs-and-claws that could be used as inspiration), etc...)
