I have to say, something about Rez just didn't "grab" me. Perhaps I'm biased because I'm designing a competitor, but nothing hooked me enough to begin playing it in earnest. If I had to pick, I'd go with Infinity over Rez, as Infinity did have enough goodness in it to persuade me to pick up a few boxes. However, for me, Infinity isn't really on the same level as the THW games. Infinity can be tense and tactically interesting, but it's missing the 'fun' spark for me.

In the meantime, I'd recommend 5150. Ed just announced that it'll be incorporating space battles (!!) and a few other niceties into the mix. From the early battle reports I've read on the website, it looks like it'll have a good amount of sci-fi flavor.
