We brought in two more of each faction than what was pre-ordered, and we almost sold during our midnight release party! The only Warpack we had left was Circle Orboros. (Thought for sure it'd be Trollbloods or Skorne)

So what is the big attraction to Hordes? I don't really like most of the models I've seen to be honest, and the name puts me off. It's not a very appropriate name for a skirmish game.

Is it the hype? Is it that everyone else is playing it? Are the rules that good?

Thanks for the explanation. I haven't tried Warmachine, and don't plan to any time soon. I can't afford to collect multiple miniatures games, and right now GOMC1 and Rezolution as all I'm interested in. GW did release a Wild West skirmish game (can't remember the name) which looked interesting though.

I know Hordes has not been played everywhere yet, but Warmachine has/is and so Hordes can cash in on that. Mass hype over a game tends to turn me off from it to be honest.

I like smaller games as well, and 2 hours is a good maximum length of game.

I am always limited on space, so if I was to go to a game requiring large armies, I'd try something like Flames of War as the scale means you can fit a lot more on the table.

I guess I'm just not interested in fantasy right now, but if/when I feel like a complete change, I might give Hordes a closer look.
