MiniChunk Diagonal Walls!

I couldn't use Johnsocp's model, as the geometry doesn't shrink right (like how the corners need to be redone, too). So, I redid the whole thing from scratch.

After careful measuring and re-aligning graphics, I've got a file I'm very happy with.

I'll post some pics once I've got a couple built.

In the meantime, while Im waiting to hear back from Denny, I've been making a full-blown conversion of Chunky Dungeons into MiniChunk. I've been going through every file and resizing what needs to be done, adding a Kitbash banner, and saving them as PDF files.

And, I have a Logo!

Too cool for words!!!

Hope someday (when the kitbashing zone is official ok) we -the ones that have it- could get the 1" version....-I think that I don't have problem with the 1'5" because is more room to move...but if you play games by inch I understand the need of it...

Voila! Diagonal Minichunk walls! I had to re-do the geometry, as I couldn't just shrink down the Johnsocp version. But, I had to have 'em!

So, here's the first couple:







They suffer from the same minor "overhang" that Johnsocp's do, but I'm pretty sure I know how to fix 'em. I should be able to move the long diagonal wall towards the smaller one, and have that overhang disappear entirely.

But, the first go still turned out okay!

Kewl! You are reallly coming up with some neat stuff. Nice job!

Just an update: the graphics are done!

I almost forgot about the well inserts, which had to be scaled up (with the tabs staying the same length), but that's done now, too.

I printed it all up, and I'm building the last couple pieces to ensure a proper fit. So far, so good! I should have final update later tonight, and maybe pics on the morrow (I'll have to build three more of the Curved Wall sections to be sure, and I'm a bit of a slow builder. Doesn't bode well for the WWG24HRWBCC. ).

MiniChunk is almost complete!

To tide you over while I build, here's some shots I took the other day of the far and away more improved corner piece.

My first version is this one. It... well, sucked. I just scaled the whole body horizontally, and the cap to match.



For the final version, I made the adjustments to keep the same wall thickness. Much better!





The inside corner fits like a glove, compared to the first version.



Now! Off to assemble the Curved Wall!

Here's some shots of the new Curved Wall, along side the old Curved Wall. You can really tell the difference. Much-o better-o.







In this shot especially, you can tell just how "off" the normal one was.



The gutter's correct, all's aligned, and there's even guide triangles placed on the new 3x3 base, to make it easy for everyone when this set's available!

This would be the way to make an arch for the hedgemaze - adapt Chunky's curved walls!

I'm still awaiting official word from Denny on super-secret, behind-the-scenes, 007-type stuff.

...In other words, I don't know.

Denny is super busy right now, but this will all happen very, very soon (in WWG time, naturally ).

As for the graphics themselves, they're done!

By the by do you need to have the CD or is the Mini independant? If so could we see the Mini chunk as a release to pay for? Either way is good but I haven't yet got the Chunk (and no need for it as it is either) but willing to pay $15 for the MiniChunk for a stand-alone version.
