Well, I let myself be talked into running a simple game rather than give up running games while preparing for my summer job... I chose Savage Worlds because its generic nature works well for this particular setting, since all the characters will be starting off on equal footing.

Rather than do all the work myself I am going to bounce ideas off of folks in this forum, and listen to their ideas - after all, you're the folks who talked me into getting Savage Worlds in the first place.

So - The game will be based on the web comic High School Changed Me, and will be rated PG - no smut, and limited innuendo. For example, while one of the introductory scenes is titled The Gratuitous Shower Scene all the girls will be modestly covered in big fluffy towels.

Characters will be introduced over the course of two game days as they find themselves at the school. Aside from cameos the only characters from the comic who will be showing up are the teachers, and possibly the medical staff... The characters can be from any type of background, from gumshoe detective to fantasy hero to weird science to stupid video game.

Part 1: Introductory Scenes: Some are easy, a mad science experiment gone wrong, a failed teleport spell, a musty wardrobe that somehow turns out to be a locker... But others will get full scenes, the time running to 10 - 15 minutes per scene. Some of the characters already introduced may be present for the scene.

1a - The Gratuitous Shower Scene - Character Type: Male Fantasy Hero
The character enters a narrow dungeon tunnel that twists and turns. From ahead comes the sound of an enormous waterfall. Eventually the character may squirm their way to a point where they can see light shining through the waterfall. If the character passes through the waterfall the water pressure goes rapidly from a pounding deluge to a hard rain, and a massive figure fully 8 feet tall lets loose with a battle cry, swinging a massive fist the size of a ham at the character's head. At this point a Notice roll is made, the result determining what the character observes in the split second before the fist hits:

4+ The figure appears to be a female ogre.
5+ Who has some type of pink cloth wrapped around her body, held in place by the hand that is not being swung at the character's head
6+ The 'battle cry' is the basso profundo equivelant of 'eeeek!'
7+ There are about half a dozen other females of various sizes and species all yelling things like 'who's he?' 'How'd that creep get in here?' 'Get out, get out, GET OUT!!!', and finally someone shouting 'Somebody get Sister Deliberatta!'
8+ The tunnel in the wall is a narrow crack, less than a quarter inch wide, there is no possible way the character could have fit through it.

If a female character has already been introduced she will be present, and is allowed a Notice roll (4+) to see the new character step out of the crack in the wall.

The smartest thing for the character to do is duck and dodge until the Sister arrives, but that is entirely up to the player. When Sister Deliberatta arrives she will take everything in charge, if the character has drawn steel then he will face her full wrath, if he is ducking and dodging then she will grab him by the ear and drag him out of the shower room. If he is ducking, dodging, and babbling apologies while blushing and trying to be a gentlemen then she will shoo the ogre girl away and lead him out in a more kindly manner (she has been a teacher here for several years, and knows how suddenly new students can pop in).

Sister Deliberatta is a somewhat overweight succubus in full habit and gleaming plate armor, carrying a two foot long Ruler of Doom (tm). The ruler deals Str + 2 damage if the target tries to avoid it and she connects anyway. It only deals 1 point of fatigue if the target submits to her blow. No matter how many times the submissive character is struck by the ruler the character only receives that single point of damage until the character has had time to recover. She is stern, but not unkind, and has an oath to protect the innocent.

Ogre Girl is a typical ogre, unarmed. Her name is Carol. She is very shy, and having a boy appear in the shower she was about to enter was enough to panic her. She really is a very nice person.

Available improvised weapon: a damp towel that may be twisted into a rat's tail either by the PC or by one of the girls in the shower room.

If the character is Incapacitated either by the students or Sister Deliberatta then he will awaken in the infirmary, all but one point of Fatigue damage healed. Sister will give him a severe talking to... If the character is knocked out by Carol's blow then Sister may be more understanding, depending on what the character's response was - if the first thing was to draw a weapon, or if he already had a weapon drawn then she will be less than friendly.

*EDIT* If the character chooses not to go through the waterfall then eventually he will find a tunnel that enters the school in a less embarassing manner.

Well, ran the players through character generation, and three intros last night.

CG took longer than I expected, even though two players had generated theirs before the session started. For the most part players were neutral toward the system, a few liked it, and none hated it. I suspect that most of their difficulties would be handled by the setting books.

One Weird Science student. (Also disappointed by the lack of real WS rules). Played the part of a crash test dummy for his master in the Weird Scientific Arts, and ended up here, just before the teleportation cage (having passed through the rings that were supposed to teleport both him and the cage to a similar ring over a deep tank of water, the Mad Scientist below yelling 'too slow, dammit! We need to drop from higher up!') was now hurtling toward the concrete floor. Then just before hitting the ground with a terminal impact there was a blue flash, and the cage was gone. He hit the floor after falling through the ceiling of the cafeteria. Primary teacher: A. Q. Riley. ('It is obvious that the translocational energies were a field effect, and the continued proximity to the charged translocational torus capacitors was sufficient for the cage to leach enough energy for a random translocation. Pity, the cage seems to have been consumed by the energies, leaving you behind...')

One Monster Hunter type character (who was given the Gratuitous Shower Scene). Got high enough in his Notice to realize that he was in a woman's bath house and managed to almost knock himself out by turning around and trying to run back the way he came. Carol's fist finished the job. He came to in the infirmary, where Carol (now properly dressed) apologized to him. Being aplogized to by an ogre scared him almost as much as suddenly appearing in the shower room had. Sister Deliberatta assigned Carol as his guide.

One character based on the movie Spy Kids 2. (My names Brand, Jimmy Brand...) Not yet introduced.

One undeclared student who wasn't very good in school and isn't sure how he got here... (Amnesia, treated here as a Minor Hinderance, but he will fnd out.) Shop sounds good for this one. (Not in the game yet)

One Applied Sorcery (Summoning) student., who was demonstrating some low level magic to her teacher in another universe, got it wrong and appeared in the AS classroom in the High School, facing a teacher who looked exactly like the one in the class room she had just disappeared from. In the first class room she was outside the circle, in the new she was inside it, with a disappointed looking fellow student pointing a stick at the circle.Even the names were similar... She was in the shower, but since the scene only lasted two rounds did not get to do much... But was one of the girls screaming at him. (She had fun, and was already twirling a towel into a rat's tail.) Oh, by the way, she is a deviling...

One History student who got lost in a bookstore and found himself in the library at the High School. (L Space... it can be tricky.) At least that is what I have planned - we ran out of time last night.

Classes in common so far are history, biology, and magic. (The weird Science student taking the oportunity to study a new field.)

Strangely, no one wanted to take Religion with Sister Deliberatta.
