The plastic animal comments reminded me of some plastic animals I saw at Michael's that would probably work really well. They have a whole bunch of them in the bins that are on the end caps to the shelves in the crafts area. I think they were at the end of one of the painting shelves, but they would make some very interesting regular and giant sized creatures.

Mmmm, I think I need to pick up some for that purpose and also for use in my game. If you go you should see some of the figures they have.

Anyway, it's something to consider.
