Hi World Works Creators and Fans,

I am interested in 2 of your sets:

1. MAYHEM: Streets of Legend
2. URBAN MAYHEM: Streets of Mayhem

I have two goals for your product:

1. Play a 6mm Godzilla “Stomp the City” game.
2. Play original SJG Car Wars on a ¼” square “graph paper” grid.

*** Has anyone done this before? Re-sized your product to fit 6mm or 1/285 models? ***

*** If so, how do I size or re-size them before I print them? ***

One other bonus for me would be that the standard square size fits a 3 inch x 3 inch (75mm x 75mm) square. Most of my microarmor scenery buildings and old Epic Space Marine buildings are based on 1 or more of those squares of plasticard (Example 3”x3”, 3” x 6”, or 6”x6”, etc.).

For Steve Jackson Games (SJG) Car Wars, it helps if the average two-lane street fits at least ½” in width (or two ¼” “graph paper” squares) since that old chits and my official 6mm Grenadier Car Wars minis from the 1980’s fit the half inch width.

There are a lot of people that would love to help you, but please don't spam the site with requests in multiple forums. That'll just turn everyone off in the long run.

Use your printer software or Foxit reader and print a test sheet at 21% or 22% and see if the graphics come out OK.

6mm is 21.4% of 28mm.

Here's a link to a I found by searching the forum. There was , but sadly the links to the pics are busted. It was really an epic example of insanely small TLX building.

Please excuse that I posted this on one other thread earlier.

If I scale at 25%, will that turn 1" squares into 1/4" squares as on a standard graph paper sheet?

What is/are the difference/s between [MAYHEM: Streets of Legend] and [URBAN MAYHEM: Streets of Mayhem]?

I am planning to print and glue my city grids to a larger piece of paper so modularity and various attachment plugs don't matter as much.

One user mentioned that:

UM: Streets-
- Does have rail tiles.
- Is the pre-TLX version of Mayhem : SoL.
- An older product.

Mayhem: SoL-
- Doesn't have rail tiles.
- Is TLX compatible.
- A newer product.

Is UM: Streets just an earlier an lesser developed version of Mayhem: SoL?

The transition to TLX is one of consistency and modularity amongst all TLX sets. The older sets are typically based off of a different sized tile (7"x7" instead of 6"x6"), graphical improvements and a reduction in storage space due to the modular nature of TLX.

I would go through and post the variations but I would likely miss something since I am not a modern player and so I would just be going through the product pages that I linked. If there are specific questions that you have about the sets, feel free to ask and I can open the pdfs to look if needed. Also, make sure and check out the other sets available in modern so you can see what you might add in the future.

All streets are bounded by sidewalks in the older product, [URBAN MAYHEM: Streets of Mayhem]. If you want multi-lane, you'll need to cut and paste to make it. For road tiles you get 7 tiles (4-way stop, 3-way stop, straight road, two different parking lot tiles, a 90-degree turn, and an empty lot/wasteland tile). For rail tiles you get 3 tiles (a 90-degree turn, a straight section, and a straight section with a road crossing).

The newer product, [MAYHEM: Streets of Legend], gives you 12 highway tiles (including all-paved tiles to let you do multi-lane construction) plus 5 more suburban tiles (narrower with sidewalks on either side). No rail tiles.

Either way you'll need to cut and paste a bunch of tiles to make the layout. It will be tedious but doable. I plan to do the same thing eventually myself, for my 6mm Kaiju gaming. I'll probably just scale down the final build for my 3mm stuff.

What are really cool in the older product are the rail tiles, the crossroad with workable barriers and the elevated rail bridges.
Nevertheless, if you intend to print at reduce size, the crossroads and elevated rail bridges would be difficult to build...

I'll be working on a first attempt this week... I just got laid off.

I have the old Mars Station and First Light sets, but not much newer SF material than that.

Hi Maksim, you're from the Stargrunt/GZG lists aren't you?

Mars Station gives you some interesting buildings, cliffs, and orangey desert ground tiles. I bought it too make Mars battle boards with cliff structures to use in Sky Galleons of Mars games, never actually built any of the buildings in it...

The newer sci-fi offerings are in TLX format and Streets of Titan functions in the same way as as the Streets of Legend set does, no buildings in it though.
