It was having a horrible time feeding the photo paper. I got it to work by feeding one page at a time. I am unsure as to why this was a problem, but it was.

I print and cut a decent chunk of fire and trees last night. Might try and edge them tonight...

I have this problem from time to time, and I'm starting to think it has something to do with humidity changes making the paper harder for the rollers to grab. Sometimes I find I can get it to work by manually loading the paper a sheet a time into the tray for the whole stack, so that I still get many sheets into the tray, but there's a little "air" in between them. But sometimes it's just a fight with the printer.

"Air between the sheets" is exactly what helps. Before you insert a stack of paper, fan it like a flipbook and jog it a couple times against the table. It often helps with printers that have trouble grabbing single sheets (whether it can't tractor them in at all or it tries to pull multiple sheets in at the same time).

THANKS! The humidity thing makes perfect sense. It is not an issue very often here in the desert, but we have had some looming clouds lately. The news keeps threatening rain but it never seems to happen. I will try the fanning/single page loading/etc.

Another item to look out for is the "wheels" doing the pick up.
Just clean them with a micro cloth or clean paint brush.
Sometimes the volume of paper 'dust' covers the wheels and they need a clean.
Do not be too rough, just a light clean.

Humidity here today is reported as 101%. yea how? ask the "Government" how they came up with that figure. We might get a reply within the next 4 years.
