My vote is also to delve down this dark, damp well in search of the passage. I am concerned that there could be danger and feel that we should take every precaution to remain unseen and unheard for as long as possible. I believe that this necessitates myself being the first to descend and to remain a few seconds ahead of the more heavy-stepping members of the group. (read as 15-20 feet ahead)

Im all for any course of action that gets us out of this town. The note says the meeting isn't until tomorrow (IIRC)so once we check out the tunnel, it's probably a good idea if we rest up between now and then, since a lot of us are banged up something fierce, and it probably isn't the best idea to wander into a meeting we weren't invited to half dead, bloodied, bruised and not lemony fresh.

Regardless of what we do, I think we need to get out of this place. I agree with Ashen about checking out the well and having him go first. I have a rope and climbing gear that we can use to help for getting down the well. We can use it to help support Ashen dpending on how he wants to venture downward. Ee can use it to help us climb down after he gives us the all clear.

Once we are out of here, I think its imperative that we race to meet the meeting point and spy on who the people are. Although I prefer to avoid a battle, we should prepare for the worse. However, we can revisit that option with who ever makes it out alive.


Tock takes this time to remove the acid bomb from his alchemical failsafe and replace it with a standard healing potion..

(I am not ignoring this on purpose, but this week has turned out to be a crazy one already - others may feel free to play out Ashen if need-be)

Ashen works his way over to the well, looking for anything of note: how deep, wall footholds, stuff growing on the sides, evil looking hands everywhere ala Labyrinth, etc. He will then work with Tock to get some climbing gear secured and climb down.

I assume Perception and Athletics need to be rolled, but I have to run to work now...late already.

Tock, go ahead and roll manually for you and Ashen: Atheletics for you; if you are successful, add your bonus to assist and add the gear bonus to Ashen's Athletics check. Also, please roll a Perception for Ashen.

Roughly how far down the path can Ashen see? Does the path turn before vision cuts out or is his light/low-light vision the limiting factor?

Assuming that Ashen sees a long enough corridor to put some space between himself and his companion: Ashen motions for others to follow and assists them down if possible. He first quietly points out the clicking noise that he hears, then, if none can identify the sound, puts a little distance between himself and the party (~15 20 feet ahead) making sure to ready an action to slice and dice a grell, or other menacing creature, if one were to suddenly be within reach.

I'll go ahead and play for Nike unless Kat shows up.
