Aaand, it seems that some folks think that the idea of Morgan Freeman and Jeff Bridges playing Lucifer and God sounds good.... The idea of the Devil being burned out and bitter leading to the Fall, I guess.

Ok, stupid question, but when you buy eels, are they alive or dead and on ice like fish?
(Sorry never eaten, much less cooked an eel before)

The Auld Grump

Today I juggled a two inch long centipede.

Passing it off from hand to hand as it ran along at the speed of Scoot!

I eventually got it into a paper cup and then outside - the poor thing had hitchhiked a bag of books into a used bookstore, so I captured it for the girl behind counter, who was freaked out by having a centipede come zipping across her counter.

Just a house centipede, if a big one, harmless, and kind of cute.

When I lived in Wisconsin, one winter we suddenly had crickets -- the camel crickets that jump as high as your head whenever you go down to the basement refrigerator for a snack...

They always startled me, and we had them for about a month. THen we noticed that we had a couple of centipedes. Then over the next couple of weeks we saw more and more centipedes and started finding cricket parts (legs and things on the floor).

Then there weren't any more crickets, and a week later all the centipedes were gone.
