Anyone else affected by the storm? It is still coming down crazy here in CT. We have over two feet locally and visibility is less than 500 feet. I got to the office yesterday at 8:30 AM (yesterday) and decided not to leave. I had to clean the Jeep off so I could get across the street to get some food, but other than that it is all good. My only regret is that I did not bring any tiles to work on! It means I just have to work.

I don't think you guys know the meaning of the word 'cold'.

You know, I was thinking about you guys down there. It is hard enough for us, and we are (mostly) prepared for it. How are the water systems, road maintenance, etc. down there?

Everything is stopped. We are well prepared for 105+ temps with 100% humidity, but a little snow or ice... everything stops. Most Texans don't replace their tires until you can almost see the air in them. It is really funny to see them try to drive on ice with no treads. I am such a wimp when it comes to cold, but I get a good chuckle when northern states have "heat waves" where the temperature breaks 100. I remember swimming a few years back in January when it reach 100. I also remember mowing my yard to get ready for our Christmas guest.
