Strange Aeons is a skirmish game similar to Mordheim. But being Cthulhu, survival may not always be a good thing. It has very few mini requirements, and they put a few checks and balances in place to keep the game fun in league play. If you get too strong, your opponent can 'call the police' and come and wreck you, keeping the league balanced.

It has an interesting injury mechanism in that it doesn't use hit points. Your model gets minor injury's or major ones. Recovery from major injuries often results in unwanted side effects, including permenant stat loss or sanity issues.

In Strange Aeons you face force on force. Calling the cops is only done if one team gets too strong in order to keep it from getting out of line.
