My dad and I are putting in a new set of speakers into the backroom for the main tv. We are going the 5.1 option linked into an Onkyo amp.

Now we have ordered the speakers from , which are winging their way across as I type.

We could have bought the subwoofer from them but my Dad has had a kit stored for about 12 years - so I unearthed it (it was untouched by age). This sub turns out to be a Isobaric sub. Now the rub to this is that there is no wiring instructions. I found the design brief and have gotten it all done but Dad and I cannot come to agreement over how to wire it up.
He believes that the front Driver is a Drone/passive/unwired while the internal cone does all the work. His second core factor behind this belief is that the actual kit doesn't have any cutting to pass the wire through from the front driver to the amp.

Me, after doing a few days research on the topic and actually reading the pdf have decided that the wiring would be in phase and in parallel. I believe that the wiring from the front cone is passed down the internal wall, under the front gasket of the internal driver.

The amp that came with the kit was a 80 watt Jaycar : AA0503
80W amp

End of the day I haven't a foggiest about audiotec babble and I was hoping someone on here could help.
