While researching some flyers for a convention my wife is organizing, I was surprised to find that I could get 1000 full color, two sided glossy flyers printed edge to edge for $30.

That's less than I would guess many people spend on printing here. And if you combine that with the cutter technology, you could quickly build a substantial inventory of commonly used pieces.

Anyone ever tried this for some piece that they use a lot of?

Is that price for 1000 prints of the same thing? Or can you ask for 10 copies each of 100 different things? Also what would it cost to print on cardstock?

What I saw there was a much greater price ($300) and it was for 100 lb poster paper. 1000 sheets of semi-suitable cardstock are $625. I would assume that these prices would be reduced for single-sided. The $30 tag you saw was for 2.75" x 4.25".
