I am kind of embarrassed to mention this, but a few times two of my players have brought their karaoke machine to parties.

I have won, every time. (In part because I cheat - choosing songs that I actually know, and that are within my somewhat limited range. The others take risks, but I know my limits.)

My friends always seem surprised when I win. (If I could drag my girlfriend to those parties I would lose - Jackie is much more musically inclined than I am. I only win because of strategy, she can actually sing. I would also lose if Jenny were still in the area - for a while I had an opera singer in my game, playing a bard. She was also one of the skinniest people that I have ever known - so much for fat opera singers! )

Just so you know.... I can't stand Guitar Hero, but the wife and kids love it. Mostly they are singing, and they are pretty good at it. (Apparently they haven't discovered that you can win by simply humming in tune.) The drums and guitar only come out when the kids get frustrated waiting for my wife to stop singing.

DougT: I got a hole in 1 the first time I played golf. I hear its a accomplishment, but mostly I'm marvelling that I've freed up my elder years to play more D&D. (Usually I'm just happy if my ball clears the divit.)

I picked up Call of Duty for the WII, and I can't stand the way it works. I'm a hard core FPS player with mouse and keyboard. But the WIImotes are just too sensitive for my needs. Oh, and shaking the controller for an ammo reload. F'n stupid... The WIImote also rotates your body when you do that.


Now.. sports resort... I like that a lot. What I really want is an uber violent sword game. I wanna see arms come off and heads (plural) roll when I chop. Blood spatters to make Dexter envious would also be a plus. Possibly some movement control would be good...

So my wife walks in the door today with two GH guitars and the game...I was like...uhh, wow, just talking about this.

Seems she borrowed it from a friend who loves it. LOL!
