Heh - I suspect that Ghenghis_Ska suspects that this will further delay future releases in the plastics line, and maybe Cav. Not so much that there won't be releases in this line.

Yup, I don't like working with metal minis as they are harder to customize and a number of other things. So since Wizkids started putting out Plastic, then Wotc, then Rack, my metal minis purchases have been zero for years, so I don't give a hoot about these metal minis.

It's the middle of August when the next wave for Le was suppossed to be released... So reaper says well "Asylum" is doing it now, and well Asylum is just Reaper people who are splitting time, and you can tell who is getting the time... Asylum still doesn't have a functional page or done anything, in the close to month since the news, they don't bother listening to the customers or potential customers so how cares about them.

Giving up on them.

I'm sure that, when they eventually put something out, it will be nice. They do good work. They are just complete flakes.

I will submit for your consideration that they are only flakes in regards to the plastics. (And possibly the CAV line, but I think that one might just being allowed to languish - at least locally there has been little to no interest in the game.)

I still have hopes that they will start with more frequent releases once Asylum is up and running.

But then again, I wish that they would sell unpainted plastic minis, too. I plain don't like the paint jobs on most, if not all, the current lines of plastic minis.

I do not know if it is going to be a single piece casting, but one of their barbarians really stretched what I thought was possible with a single piece cast.

Well, Reaper is not a small player but I don't think they are quite in the same league, sales wise, with GW, Privateer press, or Rackham during it's hey day.

Re- teh molding on that barbarian figure. Teh torso is twisted so as to allow the figure to be moulded single piece because teh arms do nto over lap teh torso. kevin Williams is a very skilled mouldmaker. SOme of the pieces I have done for Reaper have given him fits but he ha salways managed to mould them well enough to get good castings consistently.


And I don't think that the market is as small as many people in it seem to think. I could be wrong, and I certainly don't think that the Tabletop market is as big as video games. but I think that the table top market eclipses the board game market by a fair bit.

And Rackham's niche was NOT microscopic. Rackham changed the industry. Their product set a standard that the rest of us are still trying to achieve. they were also VERY well on their way to over taking the top of teh mountain until they made the BONEHEAD move to PPP and the out right STOOPID choice to destroy the frikkin moulds!!! ARGH!!! What the hell were you thinking Jean?!

I am hoping to make a splash of my own with my " Red Box Games " line of fantasy figures. It is still small potatoes right now, but the line is growing ( 32 figures and counting ) and I have begun to cultivate a small but apparently loyal fan base....... not that that has anythign to do with what we are talkign about here, but I will take teh opportuntiy to plug away anyway!



As for Pathfinder and Reaper.... Reaper has alot of passion for what they do, and they are very excited and motivated about the Pathfinder line. They will treat it well.

Actually, as far as miniature foundries go, Reaper is the biggest in the US. They do more than just their name-branded stuff. Reaper also does a lot of contract work as well.
