Grainger As per that letter, we need to get you to Credo City, and pick up the casket there...I suggest we make plans to actually land at Credo's port , instead of the Highport...not a problem, this bird handles fine in atmo

Does anyone know how to fly the Air/Raft? If we can get one of us to take it down discreetly, we wouldn't have to rely on local services to get back to the ship if something goes wrong.

What I meant was: How about we look out for some real work while we're there. We are running a business here, after all, yes?

Seriously, surveying and investigation work would be legitimate work for us, and will make it a darned sight easier to explain why we happen to be traveling together.

It's not as if we're geared up for cargo hauling. So either we are on a expensive sightseeing trip, or we're in business. My bet is that the latter is going to be easier to explain than the former - knowing how suspicious law enforcement types can get.

And for the record, I'll go with my identity as a retired Police Detective, corporate crime unit. That's whole lot more credible that trying to explain what a scientific researcher is doing hanging out with two retired Scouts and an ex-Marine, and gives ample excuse for 'retiring' on the far side of the empire to his former enemies.

Credo
Capital city of Regina,with a population of 87 million. Located on the eastern edge of the continent of Noncredo. Credo prides itself on its cosmopolitanism – it has a high transient population, including many visitors from the core worlds. Fashion and culture on Credo are heavily infl uenced by these visitors, leading to tension between Credo and the more traditional cities on Regina. The city is sometimes called ‘little Capital’, a mocking reference to Credo’s mimicry of Imperial high culture. Despite its cultural pretensions, the curious and strict legal system of Regina is still in effect here – laws must be voted on by the entire population, and the justice system is as bureaucratic as is enthusiastic, without being effi cient in either field. Startown
The region around the old Regina starport, now the primary Downport. This strip of bars, cheap hostelries, raucous entertainments and less savoury businesses is notoriously violent, corrupt and profitable. Technically, Startown is divided between the nearby cities of Credo and Atora; both blames the other for the state of Startown.

And fast forwarding to your jump into Regina:

You jump into the Regina system, emerging from jump space some distance from the main world, as the jump shadow of the gas giant Assiniboia means that ships cannot always arrive close to the moon itself. Your navigation screen lights up with hundreds of contacts. Most are small traders and freighters, but as you come closer to the highport, you detect larger ships. Much larger ships. Up ahead, there’s a convoy of megafreighters. You pass by these slow-moving titans; each one of them could swallow you ship five thousand times over at least. The names and port registrations are redolent of distant, exotic worlds far off in the core systems. These ships have been travelling for months, jumping along the Corridor.

Off to one side, there’s a fl otilla of Imperial warships, part of the sector fleet. They glitter in the darkness, but you can’t get too close; there’s a military interdiction zone around them. Even at a distance, though, they’re a sight to behold. At the centre of the formation is the 200,000 ton Korrirakclass
dreadnought Pride of Efate; your ship could fly down the barrel of that meson gun with plenty of room to spare on all four sides. A constellation of smaller warships surround the Pride, and you can see a swarm of troop transport shuttles making
their way out from the highport to the fl otilla along a military flight lane.

Regina is one of the most heavily-trafficked systems in the Spinward Marches, so as you fly closer to the Highport, you’re assigned an approach vector to make sure you don’t interfere with the courses of any of the other thousands of ships. Usually, a small ship like yours would get put into a holding orbit for hours until a docking berth became available, or you’d get sent to one of the smaller stations, but this time you’re contacted directly by traffic control.

As Andros is typically working the Comms, he gives the standard identification that is expected I'm assuming that's the Ship ID, but if there's some other personal information that's needed I'll be more then happy to pass it on.

Tryn makes note of the locations of the various Church sites, good to know where to stay clear of. While a true believer, he also knows he is a wanted man by the Church.

Why is Tryn a wanted man? Am I missing something in his backstory?

Public Order Commission
The local police force of Regina. The planet has a Law Level of 9, banning most personal weapons. The Public Order Commission Offi cer are also empowered to detain individuals or confi scate items that are judged to be ‘disruptive or damaging to public order and safety’. In the past, this has been used to control technologies or restrict the movement of visitors to the planet. In practice, the POC is much more lenient in the most cosmopolitan cities; visitors to the less trafficked regions of Regina are advised to exercise caution.

There’s a pause of a few seconds, and then the traffic controller comes back on the line. We’re transferring you to a priority approach vector. Confirm reception of navigational data. This new course will bring you right into the heart of the Highport immediately. This is the sort of treatment nobles and admirals get.

The highport swells from a dot to a sphere until it fi lls your entire screen. The station itself is a rough sphere of metal, but it’s surrounded by rings of smaller stations, undocked ships, cargo depots, defense satellites, buoys and beacons. You weave between these obstacles until you drop into your assigned approach vector, which brings you to a secure docking berth on the ventral side of the station. The lights on board flicker for an instant as the support umbilical latches on your hull.

Is there anything you would like to do before disembarking? I will also need to know exactly what equipment you are taking with you.

Comm (Tl 10) and a linked Comdot for hands free communications...It can get noisy sometimes in dock, and a Comdot helps us keep in touch. (suggest we all may want to wear one)
A multitool and flashlight pretty much are on my belt at all times, as is a small (TL 10 ) Medkit/
There should be no tech or weapons restrictions on the Highport...since it is Imperial Territory? But I wont be going armed on this occasion...Very civilized place

Do we need to leave someone on ship this time?...I dont think so...but when we do leave the Highport...it might be smart most times

Just to clarify - there are weapons restrictions in the highport, simply for "airport safety" reasons, however, there are no technology restrictions to speak of - so you would be fine with that equipment, Solo.
The planet is a very different story, however

I'm ready to go, I will be wearing normal clothing, have no weapons and outside of the usual ID, I only have a comdot, an empty backpack and a physical printed out copy of the message requesting my arrival.

Tryn is ready, with nothing but the dress robes and sandals. And comdots if provided.
