Started playing this again after a break. Bought the Cataclysm expansion on new years day. I decided to make a paladin for once (usually the warrior type) and I'm surprised at how easy it is to wade into large groups of monsters and come out on top. Paladins for the win, it would seem.

Anyway, I thought I'd share a few little screenshots of me on my, er, exploits shall we say.


My Dwarven Paladin... on a horse.. surely they should ride a Shetland Pony or something. I mean, he's so short.


One particular quest had me team up with a couple of NPCs. Here we are taking the coach to another area.. they kept squabbling.

Can you believe it? Some Worgen werewolf had the blasted awful manners to bite me. The cad!

The only thing my kids asked for was to have the two ** Warning, Spam link ** reactivated for Christmas (after a 2 year break).

So for Christmas, the idea was to have "Family" WoW nights. We are still trying to make this work better than it has, but I agreed to do it only if Mom was involved as well (zero PC Game experience and only a very old Atari as her alternative).

I agreed to do it to teach better cooperation and leadership skills in my kids. While they do get along, there are times the teamwork could use a boost. So this way, each adventure night or dungeon we go into, one of us leads and the others must follow, even if it is to our doom (and yes, Mom has to lead as well and yes that is when we die the most ).

But the changes with Cataclysm makes the game fun. (Before I found it to be a chore to play).

Oddly enough, I didn't enjoy WoW much when trying it out years ago. I much prefer City of Heroes. Although, I will agree that women>games...at least while in good moods

Little update, I hit level 60 today and managed to get my flight training. Since my engineering was at level 300 I made this little beauty..



I call her Betsy.

I renewed my account to check out the changes. A few observations.

The dungeon finder is a love/hate thing.
- Easy to find a group
- My tank has waited at most 3 min for a group, my dps as long as 15.
- Jerks that don't get a specific piece of loot and quit mid dungeon
- People that want to do it faster just so they can queue up again. (Hey tank pull the whole dungeon, lets do this faster!)

Seems to be easier to level

Mounts at 20 are crazy cool.

Not being able to fly in the Old World with out owning Cata, stinks.

Prices for blues in the AH have gone way up (on Alleria at least)

I'm a skawy.... RAWR....

Traded up from the whole Sauron look with better gear.
