There's a picture of the single tank cruiser bash, but no mention of how to pull it off. I figured this was in the download, but apparently not. Should this have been in there, or am I left on my own for this? I'm definitely no good with doing the bashing myself. Is it just a matter of trimming the sides of the engines down to half and building them as overlapping boxes sandwiching the frame?

If this isn't the right part of the forum for this, I'm sorry. Seemed a reasonable place to start.

I haven't tried to build any of those, so I don't have any experience to lend you, but there should be a folder of images of a build in progress in the same folder as the cruiser pdfs, along with a text file.

There may be a thread that can help you more in the Kitbashing forum.

Looking at the photos, I think once you've made the core of the frame, you build each half of the engine, then indeed sandwich them on either side, then you top that sandwich with the tank top texture (totally!). It looks like they're already halves to me, adding up to one beefy engine.

the single tank cruiser definitely is only as thick as a single tank, not as wide as two tanks with just a single top. that's what I'm trying to figure out. Building the regular chopper is straight forward. building the single tank is the only one that isn't actually covered in the instructions. There's a picture, but no info on how to pull it off.

Ahhh, now I see what's going on.. the picture is taken from a tricky angle, but I think that's just one tank side glued on normally without its twin and it isn't divided in half at all. Just glue one side and stop, and you have your own Honda CB50.

Sorry for the delayed response, but I wanted to clear this up. To get the single tank on the bike, you do indeed have to print both slim tanks, putting one either side of the frame.

Unfortunately most of the original images are no longer available on the forum, but this link shows a close up of someone making the bike. It ends up much more thin than you might imagine:



However, if you are talking about the image named "Single Tank Bash.jpg" in the images folder, then that would take some extra work as it is an example of what can be accomplished by kitbashing the kitbash. If you modified the tank to include both sides, but cut a slice in the middle of the underside, and up the front and back, you could slip the single tank over the frame. There are a few other ways to achieve it, but the main point is, it is not included, and will involve modifying the images yourself.
