Can Andros get to Tryn to do his medic bit?

Does Tryn look to be in life threatening danger, or serious trouble?
If not then I'm not going to try to move through them.

If he does look to be in danger I'll attempt to dodge through them being polite and explaining that this man needs medical attention so he can be taken by the cops.

He doesn't appear to be hurt, more just shaken up.

A cop car pulls to a halt in mid air just behind you. A couple of police officers get out and say What seems to be the trouble here?

Newton looks pointedly at the largest of the thugs and says "Well, answer the man."

(Sorry, Matthew, for putting this back in your court, but this how Newton would play this one: let the thugs dig a hole for themselves first and then see if we can get Tryn out of this ok.)

One of the thugs steps forward and says This man was trying to spread his offworlder ideas about religion around here.

The police officer doesn't look surprised, and says Sir, you'll have to come with me to Tryn. Come without resistance and we'll take that into account when you're sentenced.

Andros turns to Newton and softly says:
Well Crap. If we go after him we space any chance of finding Uncle Vlen's killers, but I sure hate leaving the kid behind. Damn it kid, why didn't you listen to us.

He pauses for a moment then slams his fist into his palm and says:What the hell is wrong with this place? First they murder Uncle Vlen then they beat some kid sensless on the street. No wonder they prohibit just about everything, the whole planet if full of sociopaths!!!

He turns and kicks a piece of garbage that's laying nearby and just lets out a angry scream.

Newton:
Damn. Hopefully the cops will look after him better than those thugs have. They seemed pretty happy to have 'softened' him up for the cops.

Let gets back to the hostel and I'll call the lawyer I arranged. Hopefully he can make sure Tryn gets some decent medical treatment and simply deported (preferably in that order). he says striding back towards the hostel.

Shame all that. Tryn may have been a bit odd, but I'd really got to like him. Still, when he comes round he'll probably be happy as Larry. There he'll be, his life ahead of him, a galaxy to convert, and as TAS membership in his pocket. Not bad for a young religo just starting on his missionary path! he finishes with a wry smile.

As soon as they enter the hostel, Newton heads straight over to the service desk and organizes for the lawyer to track down and look after Tryn.

No problems organizing the lawyer.

Once Newton has sorted out the lawyer he has a good talk with the Hostel staff about the bars and other notable venues in Startown.
- Which ones are good?
- Which ones are questionable?
- Which to avoid?
- Location and general layout of each one?
- Reputation and rumors about each?
- Customers and notable personalities at each?

While learning about the local establishments, Newton is particularly fishing for information on the 'Flotsam', but disguising this as part of a broad yet thorough information gathering discussion.

Meeting at the hostel sounds fine to me.

After Newton is done meeting, Andros will suggest that we head to the bank to finish up Vlen's affairs.

After his recent experience, he's not all that keen to stay on the planet any longer then he has to..

Yes, we should probably ask the lawyer what the standard procedures are here for dealing with the dead... We'll want to arrange for his body to be dealt with as approprate (but only after I get a chance to examine it.)
