As a side note, for images for the campaign, you might want to link image locations from other sites, as you are limited on Obsidian portal. Feel free to check out my past campaigns for ideas and formatting (one was done much more in depth than the other).

so do we have any kind of timeline here as to when this is all going to start? not trying to press the DM or anything, i just want to know what Friday we are officially going to start playing so i can make sure my schedule is clear. March fridays are fairly clear for me, but i do have one weekend where i cannot play.

Regarding scheduling, I would like to kick things off on Friday, March 11th. I think that will be enough time to get everything in order.

As far as frequency, I would prefer to game as many Fridays as possible, but I am not opposed to every other Friday. However, if we do that, we all really need to be on the ball with scheduling as if we miss one session we lose a whole month. It's just tough maintaining a good mood/feel over such a long period, in my opinion. If we game weekly and have to cancel, then it's not as much of an issue.

Also, as far as PBP in between, I'm not totally opposed to it (especially if we go biweekly), but I am not sure if we want to set a requirement to it. If it feels right, then go ahead. For example, these could be done via PBP:

Leveling/training
Time duration/related activities for extended recuperation
Resupplying
Individual side quests

If we add PBP, I want to try and avoid all combat and most if not all major roleplaying.

okay so after thinking about this some, i'm thinking i'm good with all that's being said here. i WANT to be able to do every friday night, but like others have said, we all understand that there is life outside of this forum and DnD specifically. more often than not, i will be able to make it without fail. the only times where it will be an issue is if we go out of town to visit my parents or my wifes' parents and such. that usually means we leave friday night and stay all weekend.

both my parents and my in-laws have wifi and such but im not sure if i would feel right running off to a corner of their house for 4 hours with a head set on playing dnd. if i do that, my wife will give me the evil eye and tell me "enough is enough".

so yeah, as long everyone is cool with the occasional absentee, then i'm fine with it. i would say 9 times out of 10, i will be there. i hate traveling so i try to stay in town and at my house as much as possible on the weekends ....so as long as I'm in town, then i'll be there. but i'm in complete agreement that we should shoot for the best scenario and play every week, and then modify as we see fit.
