I see Warhammer Historical have a set of Gladiator rules for sale. Could be a good excuse to dust off the Arenaworks set. |

Meh. I hate the statline approach (not a Warhammer player), and I don't see much differentiation for armor/weapon variety. I shall continue to use Two Hour Wargames 'Red Sand, Blue Sky - Heroes of the Arena' and 'Charioteer' rules for gladiatorial action. I should build another Arenaworks setup - I've been using a 2D arena since i swapped my old arena for more figures... I do wish somebody would do strips of citizen standees to populate an arena, my gladiators feel like they're all alone on an empty stage. |

What do you mean by statline approach? I've got 5150 and I don't see that much difference aside from reaction charts and a lack of a points system. |

Based on another review I saw on TMP, I rescind my earlier criticism of Gladiator (it explained more about the stats and armor that the teaser didn't show). I'm still going to use the rules I have and like, YMMV. Alexio |
