I picked up Mass Effect 1&2 today,
Earlier in the summer sale I picked up Dungeons (I was a huge Dungeon Keeper 2 fan) and Trine.
So far so good

The video game service Steam. It has made it so I have become a price snob when it comes to my video games. I haven't paid full price for a game in years...with very few over the $20 mark. Check it out and you won't be disappointed. We even have a WorldWorks Games group (although there are only something like five people in it, lol). |

I grabbed Fable III @ 50% off and 33% off the Total War: Medieval bundle. Got the Total War bundle as there is both a Warhammer Fantasy mod as well as LoTR plus yet another mod combining both. Love Steam sales... they will kill EB Games finally (here) esp. with our internet providers opening out 500gb monthly plans that are well under $100 a month (with phone bundles fyi). Fable here would have cost me $75 and that was on sale. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood might call to me also... must be strong. Fallout: New Vegas on sale for $15 today! I will finally be picking it up. As for the tickets thing, you unlock tickets by earning certain achievements in specific games. Once you get tickets you can spend them on extras for certain games (everything from items to map packs) or keep them in hopes of getting your ten free games (a daily random drawing). |

I am actually a pretty big fan of STALKER. Tough, open world sandbox game. Fallout-esque, but with a Russian bent. |

Some games stick with you, when you can remember the 'feeling' and atmosphere playing it and STALKER was definitely memorable. The spookiest part of that game was when I entered a room underground, and all I had was my flashlight and I swear I heard something move and when I saw a crate get lifted up and levitate, I thought it was a bug but then it was hurled at me! I quickly ran, squealing like a girl, while boxes and crates were flying past. I think it shocked me the most because I didn't know the engine could do that! |

I'm finding it difficult to justify buying any more games... my Steam account is nearing $1900 and my bookshelf is bowing with unplayed games. Just can't find the time any more but I keep buying them! I think it's like Schrödinger's Game - if I don't play it I won't be disappointed and I can maintain my excitement but if I do play it and it's bad I'll feel like I wasted money... My Steam name is hellbug_161 if you wanted to work through a coop game or something and I can mark one off my backlog... |

Was gifted Mass Effect 2 and just got Amnesia. SERIOUSLY considering Splinter Cell Conviction, but may hold off and get that one on Xbox. |

My haul: Batman GOTY Darksiders Dragon Age Ultimate Fallout GOTY Fallout New Vegas + DLC Half-Life Pack as a gift for my father-in-law Mass Effect 2 Monday Night Combat Neverwinter Nights 2: Platinum Portal 2 Samorost2 And Worms I feel content with myself. I was hoping Portal would be at 75% off at some point and I am sticking to not paying more than $20 for it. I have plenty to play until the holiday sale. *Got Portal 2 as a gift! |
