I know everyone has so much time on their hands, but Daz 3D 4th edition is out and its free and easy to play with. (It comes with a decent battle scene with dragon for you to play with.) Daz 3D http://www.daz3d.com/ Here's a picture I just did; http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/ ... id=2210032 So far I've been quite impressed by how advanced this software is, and how easy it is to use. (Biggest Miff is getting clothes to fit on the models. No wonder scantily clad babes are the norm...) |

Looks good - I am a bit leery of it, but at half price (with Platinum) it looks well worth the price. ![]() The Auld Grump |

I broke down a bought Auto Fit last night. Auto Fit is limited to rev 4 models. V4 and M4 mainly. Genesis has limited compatibility with them as well as Poses and only V4 skins as well. It works a treat. Set ups props and poses are a snap. Stuff that I spent hours and hours DForming before quite simply just work like magic. There is a catch. Genesis seems to work strictly with V4 M4 model information and poses. (G4 got me some wicked glitches like toes glued to the ground.) This means that all your morphs are gone with Genesis, although they claim to be working on that. So... Auto fit. Essentially, Daz has some preset layers for where to position clothing and what not. Auto fit slaps the clothing etc on those layers. When the model moves, Daz automatically morphs the clothing correctly. (Got that, right? Correctly.) So something like slicer which is leggings and giant tube skirt; http://www.daz3d.com/i/3d-models/-/slic ... ?item=8374 Is a nightmare. (Seriously, I never want to wear a tube skirt after trying to get this guy to kneel.) With Auto Fit I was able to suit him up and pose him instantly. There was relatively little poke through to deal with. I did notice some distortion on some of the clothes. Particularly the mesh was obviously stretched between his legs, so you'd have to hide that somehow in your poses, or use a stand in (old M4 with the associated work) if you can't hide it. On another note, the Centurion was amazing. http://www.daz3d.com/i/3d-models?item=5754 Most poses worked with minimal issue. Lift leg, skirt accurately lifts with it, yet still covers her butt. |
