So we our second session last night. We had two new players (new to us, but familiar with the game) for a party of four. After we got through the initial meeting up and sorting out differences, they hit the game running. The group is now an Elf Fighter, a Changeling Mage, a Human Runepriest, and a Drow Assassin, so each of the four roles is covered. Through cleverness and some amazingly good die rolls on their part (not to mention some awful rolls from me!) they managed to blow off both of the combat encounters I had planned. As a result, they were much further along in the adventure than I had prepared for. They wanted to keep going anyway, and were coming up with some good plans to infiltrate the Cultists' compound. Then they made a wrong move and I got to run the second combat encounter anyways (yay!) As we ended for the night, they had disguised themselves in the clothes of the patrol they had defeated and were going to try to bluff their way inside... ... But there are sacrifices, right? Blood of the few to be spilled (with gore all abound) to save the many? Or at least insinuate that way if the players haven't done that already and after they (the PCs) have slaughtered the cultists in order to save the innocent pilgrims heading to certain doom, reveal that what they thought was blood and gore was really strawberry juice and jam from a pie that was temporarily set on the altar and unfortunately crushed under the weight of a fat cultist that had a fainted on the altar due to a sudden and unsexpected attack of bliss. |

STILL haven't gotten ny pictures up, and now we've gotten another game in as well. They managed to use the Changelings morphing and the robes from the dead scouts to waltz right in the front gate, and then jumped through the portal far sooner than the adventure called for. So now they have stranded themselves in the FeyWild while trying to follow the little group of pilgrims and their guards... they were ambushed by Eladrin guardians and have found out that the cultists might be legit after all. Hopefully I'll get some pictures up soon... |
