Well thats a blast from the past. A mate and I were talking about RPG's a few months back. Well he dug through the his loft over the week end and dropped (on loan till he works out what to do with them) something in my arms. The first 3 D&D 1st edition rule set in box's. What a nice bit of reading, first time I ever saw the rules. such nostalga to see were it all started Oh dear what a sad ending to TSR ! |

My original white box set was destroyed in a fire we had on board ship when I was Haze Grey and Underway..... My wife searched high and low and found a Mint condition set in a Comic/Gaming store in Alameda.... While it was good, I really like the AD&D 1st Ed rules.... I have the original Deities and Demigods with the "missing" Mythos that TSR was forced to remove via lawsuit. |
