Yeah, that's one of the reasons I like it here, too; great group of people, great atmosphere - this forum just keeps attracting good folks.
And not only do we have the following as our number one forum one rule: 1. We're a friendly community
Keep it that way - Always! , but we seem to never need to enforce it.
One of the other things that surprises me here is finding out how young some of the posters are - wish I'd been that mature when I was their age.
As for your beta forums.
It's a damned shame when you have to put up crap like that to do what you enjoy. I must be getting older, but I don't stick around for that sort of stuff any more - if the people I'm around don't show respect for each other, then I'll just go and find some who do.
