I'm now using a wireless n router and I wonder if these cheaper ones can even connect to it using their wifi. The coby one uses WiFi 802.11 b/g. Are router backwards compatible? http://www.cobyusa.com/?p=prod&prod_num ... at_id=1013 |

Archos is apparently stepping up quality on their new series of tablets but keeping prices level. I will be watching this... |

I don't blame you a bit. Until recently, Archos has been a low-end company (slightly better reputation than Coby, but that's not saying a heckuva lot). But they've been honest about what they were, which I respect. Now it looks as though they're cutting the profit margin in a bid to expand their customer base with higher-quality components, so I'll likely pick one up when the G9 series comes out - if the reviews stack up to my hopes, that is. |

I'd want a 10 inch screen for my needs though (reading pdfs) - And I see the 10 inch is reasonable as well, but doesn't get great reviews. Hmmm.... |

Never heard of the brand, but you're right in saying the reviews are good, and in my experience customer review is a better gauge than reviews by tech-heads. I guess it depends on how much value you place on a known brandname. If you think it's likely you'll be calling customer service, definitely look into the company's c.s. reviews before buying! |

The white pixel is whats known as a "stuck pixel", Locate the pixel flasher/stuck pixel fixer. You will eather get an app of a vid but both supposedly do the same thing by refreshing the screen really fast in multiple different colours. BTW the X220 from AC1S is in the US but its under a different name but search for X220 and you will find it. |
