As a companion to my OD&D Boston 1755 campaign (which I've since updated to Pathfinder) I was wondering if anyone has any good resources for the era with 3.5 or Pathfinder rules. I'm using the classes from Pathfinder pretty much as is. No fancy orcs or elves or anything like that and it's definitely horror/dark fantasy as in Brotherhood of the Wolf, but with less slow mo action. |

I found a few good resources. This one is the best I have found so far, having maps for Quebec City and Montreal but from 1815. http://www.davidrumsey.com/luna/servlet ... ets--To-Hi Anything from 1750s would be perfect. This is ok actually.. http://www.historygallery.com/maps/Nort ... caMaps.htm It's a fun era for gaming. |

Wow, I forgot all about this thread, then refurbished a setting based on the French & Indian War (a nine year war that was part of the Seven Years War...). First started when 3.0 had not yet lost its new game smell. How did your game go? The Auld Grump |

I ran out of time to run this, but I did find a cool book to help with reference and ideas. http://www.rogue-games.net/Games/Coloni ... rance.html With some of the new options in the Pathfinder Ultimate Combat book I might want to actually run this. Now I just have to figure out Pathfinder fergoshsakes. |

Yeah, I had a 'Doh!' moment in regards to the now submitted setting today while at work.... In my setting the orcs have replaced the Indian tribes, the elves have replaced the French, and humans, dwarfs, and a scattering of halflings have replaced the English. Today I realized that I could have named an area between the two warring colonial nations Arcadia. This would become home to a fair number of half-elves, Arcadians, sharing a bit of both cultures, but not really accepted by either. As time passes they will move from the cold wet northern woods to the hot wet river deltas of the south. Over time the name will be softened - first to something along the lines of 'Arcadjan' and then eventually Cajun. How could I have missed that? The Auld Grump |
