Ditto the above. Be friendly, around and talk to her, but move on to other girls for now. If she changes her mind later, she'll let you know. |

I am afraid that I am entirely the wrong person to ask - I realized after the minor disaster following being propositioned by one of my players that I have never asked a girl out on a date. They have always been the one who asked me. ![]() Strange, given how little of a shrinking violet I am - I can talk with guh-guh-guh *gulp!* girls just fine, but I have never asked for more than conversation. It just never crosses my mind. I have dated, and had steady girlfriends, and even lived with one for two years, but have never been the pursuer, only the pursued. And even there, I have been dating the same girl for more than ten years, with more than half of that long distance. Something messed up with my priorities, I think. The Auld Grump |

Okay, we've both pretty much agreed that we don't want to go to a movie on our first date, so we have more time to talk. I am generally leaning towards a coffee shop right now, although the archery range may also be a possibility. ScrubKai - Outside is not gonna work at this time of year, lol. ![]() The funny thing is, she actually suggested a board game... just don't know if that's a good idea for date #1, don't want to weird her out too much ![]() |

Was archery her suggestion? Or did she suggest a board game? Whichever it was, it's a good idea to go with what she wants to do. Just remember to keep your competitive side under control - make sure she gets to win some, too. |

There's another reason for being careful about women with bows - those Amazons didn't cut off one breast because they thought it would look better. |

Double date + Munchkin. Once she gets the Broad Sword she'll have a blast. Actually, Looney Labs makes a card game that we've had fun with called Nanofictionary. I've played it with gamers & normals both, and the only people who haven't had fun are those who always take themselves completely seriously. http://www.wunderland.com/LooneyLabs/Nanofictionary/ |
