Because the 14th has fallen, inconsiderately, on a Monday there will be neither a St. V. Day concert, nor is it likely that my girlfriend is going to make a two hundred mile journey, just to see me. And so, to keep with the way I am feeling at the moment, let me present a St. Valentine's Day recipe for.... , safe in the knowledge that, if I were to ever give any of these to Jackie, she would practice the lost art of defenestration, with me as the chief subject shortly to be followed by any remaining squid. To be on the safe side I am picking up strawberries and chocolate.... The squid will be left to the lightless depths. The Auld Grump |
