One of my favorite things about the OGL, probably my very favorite, is the way you can borrow, filch, or outright steal rules from the assorted material and use it to customize your games. So, this is not about what your favorite OGL games are, but what your favorite bits & bobs are from the various books. One place that I will use for reference is the - a collection of OGL stuff, used by permission. ![]() So, starting off with one that I am adopting for a Pathfinder game set on Eberron - from The Quinessential Wizard by Mongoose. A fairly simple set of rules covering a bonus to Knowledge checks for having the books to look things up. Both Eberron and the Iron Kingdoms are unusual among D&D settings for not only having libraries, but also newspapers, and their morgues. So, in a campaign that I am thinking of involving salvage from the Last War gaining access to the morgues of the great newspapers might be a worthwhile quest in and of itself, and give leads that might be quite valuable. So, what are your favorite bit, bobs, and pretties? The Auld Grump |

Swashbuckling Adventures had some Great rules. ![]() ![]() saw a lot of use, up until WotC released Heroes of Battle, even after, it saw some use, but only when the PCs were the generals, rather than being, well, heroes. ![]() The Auld Grump |
