Sort of on topic, I have been taking my 9 year old daughter to the D&D Encounters sessions running at the local game store, and she loves it. 2 hours of gaming is about the correct amount of time for her attention span. My 6 year old son is insanely jelous and wants to play. What I did for him is we bought the Castle Ravenloft game that wizards just released. We played for the first time last night and he wants to play again tonight and tomorrow and the next day. These new games are really D&D light and take about an hour to complete. --Chris |

I have Talisman, and 'D&D The Board Game' but I've spent ages building Dwarven Halls and I'm damn well gonna use it! lol! Plus I started designing a "board" game a long, long time ago which I might adapt: Board (on an opened cardboard box!) And here's the 'Encounter', 'Wandering Monster', and 'Door' cards, as well as stand-alone rooms. |
