Looking around I came across 'Lords of Madness' which is a set of 60 pre-painted monster minis. Delving further I found this on Amazon (uk) : . Is this the right set? 60 minis for just over £10? |

Actually, digging some more I think it's a 6-pc set. |

It is a random booster. The complete set is 60 minis. It should have one huge sized mini (typically an uncommon or a rare) and the rest medium/large. |

Grrr, I hate random packaging! Seeing folks pick up a booster, then throwing out four out of six of the minis. ![]() The only boosters I have ever gotten were some with one figure visible (and I used a Borders Coupon). Even so, I was effectively buying that one figure, anything else useful would be a bonus - I can use Greenvise plants and Rhemoraz.... (One for Fallout, the other just because I like the figure.) I would much rather by packs of non random miniatures. It seemed to work well for Heroscape (in the early days). Heck, I wouldn't mind if they came unpainted, because so many of the prepaints look horrible. (My 7 year old son painted many of his minis sooo much better) I bought the Ravenloft game mostly because I knew what miniatures I was getting. I couldn't imagine how many boosters or overpriced singles I would have to purchase to get those miniatures. I will most likely purchase their next boardgame (Wrath of .....?) for the same reason. |

Those boards games seem like a great deal for what you get. I plan to own both. |

Heroscape was a treasure trove of non-random, but INCREDIBLY varied miniature goodness. I do miss it... |

I suffered under a sad addiction for years. Every time I entered the collectible / game shop, I had to get my fix of MechClix. I now have a ridiculous collection of figures I never use for anything, and I can't display them because I have small children with very active gnaw-boxes. Seriously, I think they learned dental care from hamsters. Ah, well. Maybe in a few years my little girl will develop into a gamer (so far the boy is more like his mother, who despises any game with more than one page of rules ![]() |
