A I mentioned, the local Borders has recently destroyed or returned a large amount of WotC material. It looks like part of the reason they were so quick to get rid of the over stock is because of . I am fairly certain that the local branch is more than keeping its head above water, but it looks like the parent company is not doing so well. The Auld Grump |

I've heard big rumblings about the whole chain... If the parent goes under their whole business model (discount because they buy in bulk) blows up. So I'm not sure at all about any of the local stores staying open. |

That wouldn't be good for me - I recently pledged to not to business with Barnes & Noble because of their non-existent holiday return policy, and borders is the only other chain brick-and-mortar bookstore in the area. |

I've been following this in the WSJ and being the 2nd largest retailer for books, I don't think they will go away yet. Of course for over a year I was getting coupons for 33-40% off one item and took advantage of it. Not sure how you make money giving that type of coupon away when you can print out as many as you want. Not real tracking. Red Robin restaurants got wind of customer's doing that with their birthday burgers, so they are moving to a better system. Wish Borders would do that as well. |

I must admit the kindle screen is a bit small for some PDFs, but so far that has not really been an issue for me. |
