Just a heads up for anybody who is thinking about getting a Mantic army - while the price point is not going up on the armies the number of figures is being decreased. If you want an army it might be best to get it before February 1. Both the dwarf and undead armies are quite good at their current price - 99 GBP or $179, typically - though the $270 Liche King's Hell Horde is impressive. 1 Liche King 1 Revenant King 1 Male Necromancer 1 Female Necromancer 1 Undead Standard Bearer 3 Undead Skeleton Regiments (60 Figures with Command Group) 2 Undead Revenant Regiments (40 Figures with Command Group) 4 Undead Ghoul Troops (40 Figures) 1 Wraiths (5 Figures) 1 Undead Revenant Cavalry (10 Figures) 1 Balefire Catapult with Crew 2 Zombie Regiments (60 Figures) A hell of a lot better than GW's 61.25 for five freakin' undead knights.... (Even at the price for just the cav the Mantic figs cost less than half that of GW... $45 for 10 cavalry.... And I think that the Mantic cavalry looks better - no stupidly huge helmets and weapons, and it includes the command group.) The Auld Grump, who is currently painting the second ten horse cavalry of four.... |
