Just a heads up - the some of folks that I see in illustrations for Mantic's upcoming SF release look a good deal like... Squats.

I am a 40K gamer these days, and once upon a time, I used to be one as well. Back in the Before Times, I had a sizeable Squat army which I sold back in the Spring (never guessing I would be playing 40K again a few months later.) Seeing the new Khaos Dwarf pics from Mantic has really given me that Squat itch again (although I know they are very unpopular with some people.) I would love to field a force of these guys in the 41st Millenium. They have solid plate armor, I didn't see any fiddly chainmail in the pics, which means with the right paint they could easily be wearing carapace or power armor. They have some shooting arms so I can add the guns I need for any force. Which begs the question: which Codex to use for them as a "counts as" force? I already have or am planning 2 Eldar armies, 2 Dark Eldar armies, 3 Witch Hunter armies, a Space Marine army, an Ork army, and a Vraks 2 Heretics and Renegades army. My previous inquiries on other forums has suggested the upcoming Grey Knights codex or Necrons. Thoughts? |

Most of the Squat players I have heard about tend to us Imperial Guard. Not very flavor worthy, but...I guess it works. |

Most of the sugestions I've seen say IG. BoLS one did an article on which codex for which army (Blood angles for PH world eaters ) |
