I picked it up - I was sadly disappointed in cortex's UI. Seems incredibly kludgy, really but it IS a WIP to take that with a big pile of salt. Osmos is a lot like flow or other non-game games - fun isn't the right word. Relaxing? Mellow? Revent of the Titans looks so incredibly promising that I'm willing to wait on a few patches before passing judgment. Like a tower defense game where the monsters fight back. Haven't played either of the others yet. Braid got awesome reviews all around but not sure about Machinarium. |

Okay, anybody who hasn't yet bought this now has even more reason to do so. I signed into my account today to see if there was an update for either of the "in progress" games and found a welcome early Christmas gift. The current average purchase price for all 5 games is a somewhat underwhelming $7.50 (or so). In an attempt to raise this, anybody who donates more than the average not only gets the Humble Indie Bundle 2 games, but also the first games! Add to this the newly added Steam support and I really can't think of a better gift for the gamer in your life than a $8 (or whatever you want to pay - I paid $20 when I thought it was just the one bundle, so got more than my money's worth) pack of some of the best Indie games out there. No, I'm not associated with THIB or any of the indie developers offered. I (as a hobby) develop games, but have not released any to date. I do on the other hand fully support the efforts of indie studios to mix up something other than the remixes that have become so prevalent, as well as Child's Play charity. |

I bought bundle #2 before the update and since I paid more than the current average price, bundle #1 was retroactively applied to my purchase. Win! |

I had actually purchased #1 some time ago. Lots of great games in both bundles. Definitely an amazing deal. |

What is the advantage of activating or redeeming on Steam or Desura? The games downloaded and work just fine from the Humble Bundle website. Just wondering. ![]() ![]() |

Activating on Steam puts it all in one place (Steam library) and shows the game you are playing to your Steam friends. It also lets you use the Steam UI when in game. Also, you can download and play your Steam games on any computer you log in to. (all but the last thing can be accomplished by putting in your Steam library as a "non-Steam game"). |

Thought I'd bump this thread as the latest Humble Bundle is now available. The new one consists entirely of games by FrozenByte. There are 3 very polished entries (although the primary interest for many here might just be Trine - a physics puzzle game) in addition to a prototype with source code and an as-of-yet unreleased game. I made my purchase public under the name "WorldWorksGames" - I should have probably run that past Denny before just setting it. If it's okay with him it might be a bit of publicity if the WorldWorksGames group got into the top 10 contributors ![]() |

Great idea on the WorldWorks advertising. Sounds like great stuff to me. As for the games, I have Trine and have sunk a decent chunk of time into it. It is a great game. I will be picking this bundle up for the other stuff though. |
